Breaks are absolutely necessary. Fitz is absolutely sure of it. He's been working on a bit of tech all day, his eyes glued to several monitors while he worked out calculations, but after so long working the same problem, his eyes had begun to cross. Ordinarily, that'd be when he'd see what Simmons was up to, but she hadn't come into the L.A.B. yet.

Hence, Fitz's current method of distraction.

There's a little cafe not far from the subway entrance they use for their base, and while Fitz is sure that it's probably best if he doesn't frequent it, they have, quite possibly, one of the best roast turkey rueben that he's ever eaten. No, it's not the sandwich he'd prefer to be eating, but it hits the spot, especially on a day like today.

And the fact that it's nice out and Fitz can take a table on the cafe's patio is a plus, especially so far as procrastinating on adjusting the observed frequencies on hearing apparatuses goes.

It's not as easy as one might think.

One thing that Yona hasn't grown tired of after almost two years here, that she doesn't think she ever will get tired of, is restaurants. In a place like this, they seem to be practically infinite, and there's almost always some small new place opening up with something she has yet to try. For all that she knows she ate better on the train than Curtis and Edgar did, it isn't like that's saying very much. What they had wasn't very good and never had any real variety to it. There are so many possibilities now, and though she's grown used to most of them, it's still exciting. She still doesn't think she could ever pick a favorite.

The café here is one that she likes, that she's been to a few times. When she'd first stopped in, she had originally intended just to take her food and go, but quickly wound up with more than she could carry and eat while walking, leaving her with a tray full of food when she steps outside and sees a familiar face.

She sits down across from him without any greeting or preamble, a curious smile on her face. "What kind of sandwich is that?"
